Boeing 737 Next Generation
The 737 Next Generation family, the 737-600, -700, -800 and -900, gave Boeing's single-aisle twin a new wing, horizontal stabilizer and tail, and CFM56-7 engines with more thrust than the earlier 737s had. The fuselages carried over from the older models: the -700 has the 737-300's, and the -800 is slightly longer than the 737-400. The -900ER added an extra pair of exits behind the wing for up to 215 seats. Winglets, which improve cruise performance, came standard on the BBJ business-jet versions and were offered on the airline models, on some as a later add-on.
