Total miles earned per dollar on Delta-marketed flights (base fare + status bonus + card bonus). Basic Economy tickets do not earn SkyMiles. Miles are earned on the base fare before taxes and fees.

Basic Economy (Main Cabin Basic) tickets do not earn SkyMiles. Delta One and First Class tickets earn at the same rate as the fare type purchased.
Delta SkyMiles Amex Card Bonuses
Delta SkyMiles American Express cardholders earn additional miles per dollar when purchasing Delta flights with their card. These bonus miles are added on top of your base + status earn rate.

Card bonuses apply when purchasing directly from Delta with your Delta SkyMiles Amex card. Blue and Gold cards also earn 2 mi/$ at restaurants and U.S. supermarkets.
Medallion Status Qualification
Earn Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) on Delta and partner flights to qualify for Medallion status. MQDs are based on the fare paid (before taxes and fees).

* Eligible Delta SkyMiles Amex Cardmembers who spend $25,000+ on their card in a calendar year receive a partial MQD waiver. The waiver reduces MQD requirements, not eliminates them.
Good to Know
- Miles are earned on the base fare and carrier-imposed surcharges. Government taxes and fees do not earn miles.
- Basic Economy (Main Cabin Basic) tickets do not earn SkyMiles. They are not eligible for complimentary upgrades and have limited changes/cancellations.
- Medallion status bonus miles are earned in addition to the base fare rate. Diamond Medallions earn the highest total rate at 11 mi/$ on Classic fares.
- Delta SkyMiles Amex card bonuses stack on top of both the base and status bonus. A Diamond Medallion with a Reserve card earns 14 mi/$ on Classic fares.
- MQDs are earned on all Delta-marketed and Delta-operated flights. Partner flights earn MQDs based on fare class.
- Medallion status qualifies you for complimentary upgrades, bonus miles, Sky Club discounts, and priority boarding.
