JetBlue Fare Classes: Booking Codes for Main, EvenMore and Mint

Type the fare class letter from your JetBlue ticket to see which fare it is and what it earns, as published on jetblue.com.

JetBlue fare classes

JetBlue sells three experiences, Main, EvenMore and Mint, each with up to three fares: Base, Standard and Flex (Mint has no Base). The booking letter shows the experience, and in Main it also shows Base: L is Main Base, and every other coach letter is Main or Main Flex. Points are per $1 of fare; "Online" is the total when booked on jetblue.com or the JetBlue app.

  • Every fare, Main Base included, comes with a carry-on bag and a personal item, free wi-fi, free live TV and movies, and free snacks and drinks.
  • EvenMore adds extra legroom, early boarding, dedicated bin space and priority security where available. Mint is JetBlue's business class, with a lie-flat seat, on select routes.

TrueBlue points and Mosaic

Points are earned on the fare paid for JetBlue-operated flights and eligible fees, less taxes and non-eligible fees. The online bonus is only for bookings on jetblue.com or the JetBlue app, not by phone.

Mosaic status (tiles)

  • Flights, JetBlue Vacations and TrueBlue Travel earn 1 tile per $100 of qualifying spend. Base fares earn tiles on the pre-tax fare, like other fares.
  • JetBlue credit cards earn 1 tile per $1,000 spent.
  • Mosaic 1 takes 50 tiles, Mosaic 2 100, Mosaic 3 150 and Mosaic 4 250. Tiles reset to 0 on January 1.

Change and cancel

  • Within 24 hours: a booking made seven days or more before departure can be cancelled within 24 hours without a cancellation fee. The entire booking must be cancelled.
  • Main, EvenMore and Mint: no change or cancel fee; a fare difference may apply. A cancellation comes back as a JetBlue travel credit, valid for 12 months from the original ticketing date.
  • Flex fares: cancel before departure for a refund to the original form of payment. Same-day switches and same-day standby are free.
  • Base fares: cancelling costs $150 per person, even with Mosaic status; the rest becomes a travel credit. JetBlue's fares, fees and help pages list a $150 change fee and a $100 same-day switch fee for Base fares, but its Mosaic page says Base fares cannot be changed, so check with JetBlue before you count on changing one.
  • Same-day switch: $100 per person on Main, EvenMore and Mint, with no fare difference, on the day of travel from midnight. Mosaic members pay no fee on fares other than Base, and can switch from 24 hours before departure.
  • No-show: a nonrefundable fare not changed or cancelled before departure is forfeited. A Flex fare not cancelled before departure becomes a travel credit.
  • Booking, changing or cancelling by phone or chat usually adds a $25 per person fee (Mosaic members and some other cases are exempt); online it is free.

Bags

  • Carry-on: every fare includes one carry-on bag up to 22 x 14 x 9 inches, space permitting, and one personal item up to 17 x 13 x 8 inches.
  • Mint and Mint Flex: 2 checked bags included, up to 70 lb each.
  • Main, Main Flex, EvenMore and EvenMore Flex: 1 checked bag included on transatlantic flights and to or from CTG, GYE, MDE, PAP, GEO, BAQ and CLO. Elsewhere checked bags cost extra.
  • Checked bag fees within the U.S., Latin America, the Caribbean and Canada, when added at least 24 hours before departure: first bag $45 ($49 in peak season), second bag $59 ($69 peak). Adding them later costs up to $10 more a bag. A third or later bag is $200.
  • Mosaic: Mosaic 1 gets the first checked bag free and Mosaic 2 to 4 the first two, for the member and travelers on the same itinerary, Base fares included.
  • Some JetBlue credit cards give the cardmember and up to three travelers on the same itinerary a free first checked bag on JetBlue-operated flights.

Good to know

Does JetBlue use fare class letters?
Yes. JetBlue's guide for travel agents lists them: L is Main Base; N is EvenMore Base, EvenMore and EvenMore Flex; and J, C, D and I are Mint and Mint Flex. Main and Main Flex book in every coach letter except L.
What fare class is JetBlue Main Base?
L. Main Base earns 1 TrueBlue point per $1 (2 if booked on jetblue.com or the JetBlue app), does not include seat selection, and costs $150 per person to cancel, with the rest returned as a JetBlue travel credit.
Do EvenMore Base, EvenMore and EvenMore Flex have different letters?
No. All three book in N. The fare basis code tells them apart: it ends in N1 for EvenMore Base, N5 for EvenMore and N9 for EvenMore Flex.
What happened to Blue Basic, Blue, Blue Plus and Blue Extra?
JetBlue replaced them with the Main, EvenMore and Mint fares. Trips booked on or before July 29, 2026 keep the rules of the fare bought. In Manage Trips, Blue Basic now shows as Main Base and Blue as Main, while Blue Plus and Blue Extra keep their names.
Which JetBlue fares are refundable?
The Flex fares. Main Flex, EvenMore Flex and Mint Flex refund to the original form of payment if you cancel before departure. Main, EvenMore and Mint cancel to a JetBlue travel credit, and Base fares to a travel credit minus a $150 per person fee.
Does Mosaic status help on a Main Base fare?
Partly. JetBlue says Mosaic members on Main Base still get their free checked bags, a carry-on bag, early boarding and their usual Mosaic points bonus. Main Base seats still cost extra, and the $150 Base fare fee still applies.
