Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey
The V-22 Osprey is a tiltrotor: it takes off vertically like a helicopter, then the nacelles at the wingtips tilt forward and it flies as a turboprop. Bell and Boeing build it together. The Marine Corps flies the MV-22B and the Air Force the CV-22B, which is used for special operations. The Navy says it offers twice the speed, six times the range and three times the payload of the CH-46E it replaced. The V-22 is listed here with the services' published numbers, and ICAO files it under the type code V22.
