Bell Boeing CV-22B Osprey
The CV-22B Osprey is the version flown by Air Force Special Operations Command, a tiltrotor for long-range infiltration, exfiltration and resupply by special operations forces. It combines the vertical takeoff and hover of a helicopter with the range and speed of a turboprop, and can fly missions that would otherwise need both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. Two pilots and two special mission aviators fly it, and it carries 24 seated or 32 floor-loaded personnel or 10,000 pounds of cargo. The Air Force quotes a combat radius of 500 nautical miles with one internal auxiliary fuel tank and a maximum gross weight of 60,500 pounds.
