Lockheed Martin F-35C Lightning II
The F-35C is the carrier version, the first radar-evading stealth fighter to fly from US carrier decks. It has a larger wing than the other two versions, 13.1 metres across, for slow carrier approaches, and the same Pratt and Whitney F135-PW-100 engine. Lockheed Martin quotes a top speed of Mach 1.6, a limit of 7.5 g, more than 1,200 nautical miles of range and a combat radius above 600 nautical miles on internal fuel, with an 18,000-pound weapons payload. The Department of the Navy operates it. ICAO files it under F35.
