Lockheed C-130H Hercules

The C-130H, first delivered to the Air Force in June 1974, has four Allison T56-A-15 turboprops of 4,591 shaft horsepower each; the Air Force ordered 308. Its crew is five: two pilots, a navigator, a flight engineer and a loadmaster. It carries at most 42,000 pounds, or 90 combat troops, 64 paratroopers, 72 litters or six pallets, and at its normal payload of 36,500 pounds flies about 1,050 nautical miles. Many have since been upgraded with new engine controls, T56 Block 3.5 engines and eight-bladed composite propellers. The Air Force lists it with the Air National Guard and the Air Force Reserve. ICAO files every Hercules but the J under C130.
