Boeing F/A-18E/F Super Hornet and EA-18G Growler
The F/A-18E and F Super Hornet were rolled out at McDonnell Douglas, now part of Boeing, in 1995; the E is a single-seater and the F a two-seater that also trains crews. It is about 7,000 pounds heavier than the Hornet it replaced, with a longer range, and the Navy still flies it from carriers. The EA-18G Growler is the electronic attack version, built on the two-seat Super Hornet airframe. Both are twin-engine, twin-tail jets with the same engines, and both are listed here with the Navy's published numbers.
