Boeing KC-46 Pegasus
The KC-46 Pegasus is the first phase of the US Air Force's plan to replace its aging tanker fleet. It is a twin-engine jet with a fly-by-wire refueling boom, a hose and drogue that works independently of the boom, and fittings for wing aerial refueling pods that let it refuel more than one receiver at once. It also carries passengers, aeromedical patients and cargo, and it is meant to refuel Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and partner-nation aircraft. Only one version has been built, the KC-46A, listed here with the Air Force's published numbers.
