Boeing CH-47 Chinook
The CH-47 Chinook is a twin-engine, tandem-rotor heavy-lift helicopter. Its two rotors turn in opposite directions, which gives it stability and control in wind, and a rear ramp lets it load on unprepared ground with no tail rotor in the way. The Army's CH-47F is its only heavy-lift cargo helicopter, and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment flies the long-range MH-47G, with expanded fuel tanks and in-flight refueling. Boeing builds both, and the newer Block II adds a strengthened structure, redesigned fuel tanks and an improved drivetrain. This site lists the CH-47F and the MH-47G.
