Boeing C-17A Globemaster III

The C-17A is flown by a crew of three, two pilots and a loadmaster. It carries up to 170,900 pounds of cargo, 102 paratroopers, or 36 litter and 54 ambulatory patients with attendants, and its roller floor takes everything from a 69-ton M1 tank to pallets. With a 164,900-pound payload it flies about 2,400 nautical miles unrefueled, and with air refueling its range is global. It can use runways as short as 3,500 feet and only 90 feet wide, and back up under its own power.
