Boeing 787 Dreamliner
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is a twin-engine wide-body for medium and long routes, built by an international team of companies led by Boeing at Everett, near Seattle, and North Charleston, South Carolina. It has a more-electric design: its engines are started by generators on their gearboxes, and the cabin air conditioning and wing anti-icing run on electric power instead of air bled from the engines. Airlines choose General Electric GEnx-1B or Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines. All three versions share the same 197 ft 3 in wing.
