Boeing 717-200

The 717-200 is the only version of the 717, certified by the FAA in September 1999. Boeing's planning layout seats 106 in two classes, and it is certified for up to 134 passengers. Boeing gives a range of about 2,000 miles with 106 passengers on board. Two BMW Rolls-Royce BR715 engines sit on the rear fuselage, rated at 18,500 pounds of thrust, or 21,000 pounds on the high gross weight option. An optional airstair under the front door lets it board at airports with no jet bridge or stairs.
