Northrop Grumman E-2 Hawkeye
The E-2 Hawkeye is the Navy's carrier-based airborne early warning and command and control aircraft. It was the first carrier aircraft designed from the outset for that all-weather mission, and it replaced the Grumman E-1 Tracer in 1964. Northrop Grumman says 70 E-2Ds support operations worldwide, and Japan, France, Egypt and Taiwan also fly E-2 aircraft. The newest version, the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye, has a new radar and upgraded systems. This site lists the E-2D, with the Navy's published numbers and no flight data. ICAO files the E-2 under the type code E2.
