Lockheed P-3 Orion
The P-3 Orion is the Navy's land-based, long-range maritime patrol aircraft, in frontline service since the early 1960s. The P-3C carries submarine detection sensors, magnetic anomaly detection equipment and a mixed weapons load internally and on wing pylons. NAVAIR says all active-duty patrol squadrons have converted to the P-8A Poseidon, that two reserve squadrons keep flying the P-3C until they move to the P-8A, and that foreign military sales partners fly it too. The Navy calls the P-3C Update III the baseline configuration. This site lists the P-3C. ICAO files the P-3 under the type code P3.
