Embraer ERJ family

The ERJ family is Embraer's first line of regional jets: slim airliners with a T-tail and two Rolls-Royce AE3007 turbofans mounted on the rear fuselage. The 50-seat ERJ-145, known on its type certificate as the EMB-145, came first and was certified in Brazil in November 1996. The shorter ERJ-135, the EMB-135, followed in 1999 with up to 37 seats, and the ERJ-140 sits between the two. Embraer also built a business jet, the Legacy 600, on the ERJ-135. Long Range versions of all three can carry a full cabin between 1,550 and 1,750 nautical miles.
