History
Cessna certified the Citation X in 1996, and the Citation X and its X+ upgrade stayed in continuous production for more than 21 years. Textron Aviation confirmed in June 2018 that it was ending production of the X+, to reduce overlap with the new Citation Longitude. By then it had delivered 314 Citation X jets and 24 X+ jets. Textron says the X and X+ held the title of fastest business jet for nearly 25 years. Production ended, but most of the jets still fly and Textron continues to support them.
