History
The Mustang was Cessna's first very light jet and was called the first fully certified very light jet. Textron Aviation announced on May 11, 2017 that production of the last Mustang was complete, after a run of 12 years and more than 470 aircraft. The company pointed to the Citation M2 as the new entry-level jet, which had been introduced in 2011. Production ended, but the Mustangs still flying are supported by Textron Aviation.
