Boeing C-40A/B/C Clipper
The C-40 body is a Boeing 737-700 with winglets. The C-40B is an office in the sky for combatant commanders, with 26 to 32 passengers and broadband communications. The C-40C has a cabin that can be set for 42 to 111 passengers. The Navy's C-40A has three layouts: 121 passengers, eight cargo pallets, or three pallets and 70 passengers. Two CFM56-7B turbofans of 27,000 pounds of thrust each give the Air Force models an unrefueled range of 4,500 to 5,000 nautical miles, depending on payload. The Navy puts cruise between Mach 0.78 and 0.82, and says two more were bought for the Marine Corps.
