Air Europa Suma Miles Calculator

Unofficial. See the Suma Miles an Air Europa flight earns on the fare you paid. Rules as published by Air Europa.

Suma pays Miles on the money you spend: 5 per €1 in Spain and Europe, 6 on America flights and 3 more in Business, plus a level bonus of 50% (Silver), 75% (Gold) or 100% (Platinum) of the base 5. Silver needs 18,000 Level Miles or 14 flights, Gold 32,000 or 26, Platinum 60,000 or 50.

How this calculator works

Enter the fare you paid for the whole ticket in euros, then pick where the flight goes, the cabin and your Suma level. The calculator multiplies the spend by the Miles per euro for that flight and adds your level bonus. The result updates as you change an answer.

What the inputs mean

  • Fare paid: the published fare plus the fuel surcharge, for the whole ticket. Taxes, airport fees and other charges (for example management fees) are not counted. Air Europa does not say how a fare in another currency is converted, so enter the equivalent in euros.
  • Where the flight goes: Air Europa lists one rate for Spain and Europe (5 Miles per €1) and a higher one for America flights (6). It does not say whether other long-haul routes count as America.
  • Cabin: Business adds 3 Miles per €1. Air Europa lists no extra Miles for Premium Economy, so it earns at the Economy rate.
  • Your Suma level: Silver, Gold or Platinum when you fly. The bonus is 50%, 75% or 100% of the base 5 Miles per €1 (2.5, 3.75 or 5), not of the America or Business additions.
  • Credit this flight to: you can credit the flight to Delta SkyMiles, Flying Club or Flying Blue instead of Suma. Choose one to see what the flight earns there, by route and booking class, with your status in that program. The full tables: Delta SkyMiles on Air Europa, Flying Club on Air Europa, Flying Blue on Air Europa.

How Suma Miles are earned

Air Europa flights earn on the money you spend. The resulting figure is rounded up. Flights paid entirely with Miles earn no Miles and do not count toward a level; on Miles plus cash, only the cash part earns. Miles are normally credited within 48 hours. The Air Europa fare chart lists the fare families by cabin, and its Delta table shows how Suma Miles are earned on another SkyTeam airline, by distance and booking class.

Levels

Levels come from Level Miles, a separate balance that is not redeemable. Silver (SkyTeam Elite) needs 18,000 Level Miles, Gold (Elite Plus) 32,000 and Platinum (Elite Plus) 60,000. Instead of Level Miles you can reach them with 14, 26 or 50 flights. Either way you need at least 4 Air Europa flights within 12 consecutive months. Air Europa does not publish how a flight converts to Level Miles, so this calculator does not show progress.

Example

A Suma Gold member who pays €1,000 for a Business ticket to America earns 5 + 1 + 3 = 9 Miles per €1 plus the Gold bonus of 3.75 per €1, so 9,000 + 3,750 = 12,750 Suma Miles.

What it does not cover

Award flights earn nothing. Flights on other SkyTeam airlines earn by distance and booking class, not by spend. Promotions, such as extra Miles on selected routes, are not included. Air Europa's pages also differ on how long Miles last without activity (18 or 24 months), so check your account. Air Europa's earning page has the current table.
