SAS EuroBonus Points Calculator

Unofficial. See the Bonus points and Level points an SAS flight earns. Points as published by SAS.

EuroBonus pays a fixed number of points per SAS flight, set by the route, the ticket type and the booking class, with 25% more Bonus points for Silver, 50% for Gold and 75% for Diamond. Choose your airports, connections included, and the calculator finds the table for each flight.

How this calculator works

Choose your airports, your ticket type and your booking class. The calculator looks up each flight's airports with the same airport data as our Great Circle Distance Calculator, works out which of SAS's six tables applies, and reads the points for your ticket type and booking class. You earn the same number of Level points and Bonus points; your EuroBonus level adds its bonus to the Bonus points only. Choose Round trip to count the same flights back the other way, and add the Level points and qualifying flights you already have to see how far you are from Silver, Gold or Diamond.

What the inputs mean

  • Airports: where you fly from, where you fly to, and any connections (add a connection for each extra flight). Each flight earns on its own table.
  • Ticket type: Light, Standard, Flex, Premium, Premium Flex, Business or Business Flex, as shown on your booking. SAS's tables list Premium tickets on domestic flights, Business on flights within Scandinavia and Europe, and both on long-haul flights.
  • Booking class: the letter on your ticket. SAS sells the same letter under several ticket types (E, for example, is in Light, Standard and Flex), so the ticket type picks the row and the letter picks the line within it. A flight whose ticket type and class are not in SAS's table for that route is shown as not counted.
  • Your EuroBonus level: Silver members earn 25% more Bonus points, Gold 50% and Diamond 75%. Level points do not change. SAS does not say how it rounds the bonus, so this calculator rounds it per flight.
  • Credit this flight to: you can credit the flight to Delta SkyMiles, Flying Club or Flying Blue instead of EuroBonus. Choose one to see what the flight earns there, by route and booking class, with your status in that program. The full tables: Delta SkyMiles on Scandinavian Airlines, Flying Club on Scandinavian Airlines, Flying Blue on Scandinavian Airlines (SAS).

Which table a flight uses

  • Domestic: both airports in Denmark, both in Norway (Svalbard included) or both in Sweden.
  • Within Scandinavia: between Denmark, Norway and Sweden.
  • Within Europe: any other flight with both airports in Europe. Turkey, Cyprus, Russia and the Caucasus are not priced, because SAS does not say which table they use.
  • Long-haul: three tables named by city: Boston, New York (JFK and Newark) and Toronto; Beijing, Atlanta, Chicago O'Hare, Washington Dulles and Mumbai; Bangkok, Seoul Incheon, Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Miami, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle. Other long-haul routes are not priced.

Silver, Gold and Diamond

The EuroBonus level is based on the Level points or qualifying flights with SAS in your 12-month qualification period: Silver 20,000 Level points or 10 flights, Gold 45,000 or 45, Diamond 90,000 or 90. SAS also offers a lifetime Gold membership. The calculator counts every priced flight toward the qualifying flights; check SAS's terms for which flights qualify.

Not included

SAS Upgrade adds points when you win an upgrade bid paid in cash (for example 500 points on a flight within Europe from Economy to Business). SK flights operated by a SkyTeam partner earn by distance: Level points are the miles flown times the sum of a distance multiplier and a booking class multiplier, and Bonus points add the tier bonus on the distance part. Both are explained on the SAS fare chart but not calculated here.

Examples

Copenhagen to New York JFK on a Standard ticket in M earns 1,600 Level points and 1,600 Bonus points, or 2,400 Bonus points for a Gold member. Stockholm to Copenhagen on Business in D earns 1,200 of each, and Oslo to Bergen on a Light ticket 100. Stockholm to Copenhagen to Tokyo Narita on Business in C earns 1,200 plus 9,000, that is 10,200 Level points.
