Royal Jordanian Royal Club Calculator

Unofficial. See the Royal Club Award Miles and segments a Royal Jordanian flight earns. Rates as published by Royal Jordanian.

Royal Jordanian pays Award Miles on the distance flown times the percentage for your fare family, with your Royal Club tier built into the percentage. Choose your airports, connections included.

How this calculator works

Choose your airports, your fare family and your tier. The calculator measures each flight's great-circle distance with the same airport data as our Great Circle Distance Calculator and multiplies it by the percentage for your fare family and tier. Each flight counts one segment (half between Amman and Aqaba or Tel Aviv). Choose Round trip to count the same flights back the other way, and add the segments you already have in the last 12 months to see how far you are from the next tier.

What the inputs mean

  • Airports: where you fly from, where you fly to, and any connections (add a connection for each extra flight). Each flight earns on its own.
  • Fare family: Economy Saver, Economy Plus, Economy Flexi, Business Saver, Business Plus or Business Flexi. Royal Jordanian prints the booking classes in its Tier Miles table (Economy Saver O, P, W; Economy Plus L, V, S, N, Q; Economy Flexi Y, B, H, K, M; Business Saver I, Z; Business Plus C, D; Business Flexi J) and names the same families in its Award Miles table without letters, so match your booking class to the family by those names. Linking the letters to the Award Miles rows this way is our reading of the two tables, not a Royal Jordanian statement. The Tier Miles table spells the first family Savor and the Award Miles table Saver.
  • Award ticket or a ticket at a 50% discount or more: Royal Jordanian says these earn no Award Miles or Tier Miles. Choose Yes if your ticket is one of them.
  • Your Royal Club tier: Bronze Sunbird, Silver Jay, Gold Sparrow or Platinum Hawk. The tier is built into the percentage: each step up adds 25 points.
  • Credit this flight to: you can credit the flight to American AAdvantage, Atmos Rewards or British Airways Club instead of Royal Club. Choose one to see what the flight earns there, by route and booking class, with your status in that program. The full tables: American AAdvantage on Royal Jordanian, Atmos Rewards on Royal Jordanian, British Airways Club on Royal Jordanian.

Minimum, rounding and Tier Miles

Royal Jordanian prints no minimum number of Award Miles per flight, so this calculator applies none, and it does not say how it measures distance or rounds; this calculator uses the great-circle distance and drops fractions of a mile on each flight. Royal Jordanian also earns Tier Miles at a rate for each booking class but does not say what that rate is a percentage of, so Tier Miles are not calculated here. The Royal Jordanian mileage calculator gives them. Promotional Economy (booking class R) has a Tier Miles rate but no Award Miles row, so it is not calculated.

Segments and tier

A tier needs either Tier Miles or segments in 12 months: Silver Jay 15,000 or 14, Gold Sparrow 40,000 or 30 and Platinum Hawk 65,000 or 46, with at least 4, 10 and 20 flights on Royal Jordanian. To keep a tier: Silver Jay 12,000 or 12 and Gold Sparrow 30,000 or 26 in 12 months, Platinum Hawk 110,000 or 80 over 24 months. Royal Jordanian's terms table lists 12 months for Platinum Hawk, but its program pages and the Platinum card validity say 24, so this page uses 24. Segments also come from oneworld partner flights, which this calculator does not count. Royal Jordanian can change these terms at any time.

Example

A 2,000-mile Economy Plus flight earns 1,500 Award Miles as a Bronze Sunbird (75%), 2,000 as a Silver Jay (100%), 2,500 as a Gold Sparrow (125%) and 3,000 as a Platinum Hawk (150%), and counts one segment. The same flight in Business Flexi earns 4,000 Award Miles at Bronze Sunbird and 5,500 at Platinum Hawk.
