LOT Polish Airlines Miles & More Calculator

Unofficial. See the Miles & More miles, Points and Qualifying Points a LOT Polish Airlines flight earns. Rates as published by Miles & More and LOT.

LOT flights earn in Miles & More, the Lufthansa Group program. On a ticket issued by LOT (ticket number starting 080), flights within Europe earn a fixed number of miles by booking class, and international flights earn the distance times your class's rate, with a minimum. Every flight also earns Points and Qualifying Points by cabin. Choose your airports, connections included.

How this calculator works

Choose your airports and your booking class. The calculator looks up each flight's countries and great-circle distance with the same airport data as our Great Circle Distance Calculator. A flight with both airports in one European country earns the domestic miles for its class; a flight between two European countries earns the cross-border miles; any other flight earns the distance times the class rate, or the class minimum if that is more. Choose Round trip to count the same flights back the other way, and add the Points you already have this year to see how far you are from the next status.

Which tickets this covers

These rates are for LOT flights on tickets issued by LOT, with a ticket number starting 080. LOT flights booked through a Lufthansa Group channel, on a ticket number starting 220, 724, 257, 082 or 101, or with Eurowings, earn by the fare instead: 4 miles per euro of the airfare, or 6 with Miles & More status. For those, use the Lufthansa Group Miles & More calculator.

What the inputs mean

  • Airports: where you fly from, where you fly to, and any connections (add a connection for each extra flight). Each flight earns on its own.
  • Booking class: the letter on your ticket. Business is C, D, F and Z (LOT has no First class), Premium Economy P, A and R, and the rest Economy. I, J, N and X earn no miles and no Points.
  • Your Miles & More status: used for the progress toward the next status. Miles & More says status holders earn up to 25% more miles on LOT, but does not publish how much on which fare, so it is not added.
  • Credit this flight to: LOT is a Star Alliance airline, so you can credit the flight to United MileagePlus or Aeroplan instead of Miles & More. Choose one to see what the same flights earn there, by booking class and distance, with your status in that program. The full tables are on the United MileagePlus and Aeroplan partner pages.
  • Turkey, Cyprus, the Caucasus, Kazakhstan and Russia: these countries lie on two continents and Miles & More does not say which one it counts. The question appears when a flight touches one of them; Europe makes the flight earn the fixed European miles, Asia makes it earn by distance.

Miles within Europe and international

Within one European country: 1,000 miles in B and Y, 500 in E, H, K and M, 250 in G, Q, S, T and V, 125 in L, O, U and W (Miles & More lists no domestic miles for the Business and Premium Economy classes). Between European countries: 2,000 in C and D, 1,250 in F and Z, 1,350 in P, 1,250 in A, 750 in R, 1,250 in B, M and Y, 750 in E, H, K and Q, 500 in G, S, T and V, 125 in L, O, U and W. International: 200% of the distance in C and D (at least 1,000), 150% in F, Z, A, B and Y (at least 750), 160% in P (at least 750), 100% in R, E, H, K, M and Q (at least 500), 50% in G, S, T and V (at least 250) and 25% in L, O, U and W (at least 250). Miles & More counts Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco and Tunisia as Europe for Points; this calculator uses the same Europe for the miles. It drops fractions of a mile on each flight.

Points and status

Each flight segment earns Points and the same number of Qualifying Points by cabin: Economy 20 on a continental flight (both airports on the same continent, domestic included) and 60 on an intercontinental one, Premium Economy 20 and 80, Business 40 and 200. Business also earns the same number of HON Circle Points. Points are credited only when miles are. In a calendar year, Frequent Traveller needs 650 Points and 325 Qualifying Points, Senator 2,000 Points and 1,000 Qualifying Points, and HON Circle 6,000 HON Circle Points.

Examples

LOT's own examples: Warsaw to Frankfurt in LOT Economy earns 20 Points and 20 Qualifying Points, and Gdansk to New York via Warsaw in LOT Economy earns 80 (20 + 60). In M, Gdansk to Warsaw earns the fixed 500 domestic miles and Warsaw to New York (about 4,270 miles) earns 4,270, so the trip earns about 4,770 miles. Warsaw to Frankfurt in M earns the fixed 1,250 cross-border miles. Warsaw to Chicago in C earns 200% of the distance, 200 Points, 200 Qualifying Points and 200 HON Circle Points.
