China Airlines Dynasty Flyer Miles Calculator
Unofficial. See the Dynasty Flyer miles a China Airlines flight earns. Rates as published by China Airlines.
China Airlines pays miles on the distance flown times a percentage set by your booking class, from 175% in J down to 0% in L, with no minimum. Choose your airports, connections included.
How this calculator works
Choose your airports and your booking class. The calculator measures each flight's great-circle distance with the same airport data as our Great Circle Distance Calculator, multiplies it by the class percentage and rounds to the nearest mile, as China Airlines does. Choose Round trip to count the same flights back the other way, and add the Status Points you already have to see how far you are from the next tier.
What the inputs mean
- Airports: where you fly from, where you fly to, and any connections (add a connection for each extra flight). Each flight earns on its own.
- Booking class: the letter on your ticket. Business is J (175%), C (150%) and D (125%); Premium Economy is W and U (125%), A (115%) and E (100%); Economy is Y, B and M (100%), K, V and T (80%) and R, Q, H and N (50%). L earns nothing, and neither do O, Z, X, G and S. When the ticketed class and the class you fly differ, China Airlines credits the lower of the two.
- Your Dynasty Flyer tier: Gold, Emerald and Paragon members receive 15%, 25% and 30% incentive miles on China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines flights. China Airlines does not say what the percentage is applied to, so the calculator shows it as a note and does not add it.
- Credit this flight to: you can credit the flight to Delta SkyMiles, Flying Club or Flying Blue instead of Dynasty Flyer. Choose one to see what the flight earns there, by route and booking class, with your status in that program. Distance and rounding
China Airlines uses IATA ticketed point mileage (TPM), which can differ a little from the great-circle distance. It states no minimum miles per flight. Its own example, Taipei to Los Angeles (6,781 miles), shows 11,867 miles in J, 10,172 in C, 8,476 in D, 6,781 in Y and 3,391 in R, so halves round up. The percentages apply to flights operated by China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines; SkyTeam partner flights earn by the marketing carrier's rules. Tickets sold at a discount of 50% or more, award, group, charter and some promotional tickets are excluded.
Status Points and tiers
Your tier depends on Status Points, not miles. China Airlines does not publish what a China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines flight earns in Status Points (only for SkyTeam partner flights, by credited miles), so this calculator does not add them; read them from your account or the official calculator and enter your total to see the progress. To be upgraded within any rolling 12 months of your current tier you need 360 (Gold), 720 (Emerald) or 1,400 (Paragon) Status Points, at least half of them from China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines flights. To renew you need 580, 1,150 or 2,240 within the 2-year validity, at least half from those flights.
