Royal Air Maroc Safar Flyer Calculator
Unofficial. See the Safar Flyer Award Miles, Status Miles and Status Flights a Royal Air Maroc flight earns. Rates as published by Royal Air Maroc.
Royal Air Maroc pays Award Miles and Status Miles on the distance flown times the percentage for your fare family, and Silver, Gold and Platinum members get a bonus on the Award Miles. Choose your airports, connections included.
How this calculator works
Choose your airports and your fare family. The calculator measures each flight's great-circle distance with the same airport data as our Great Circle Distance Calculator and multiplies it by the fare family's percentage. Status Miles equal the Award Miles before any bonus, and each flight flown counts as one Status Flight. Choose Round trip to count the same flights back the other way, and add the Status Miles and Status Flights you already have this calendar year to see how far you are from the next Safar Flyer status.
What the inputs mean
- Airports: where you fly from, where you fly to, and any connections (add a connection for each extra flight). Each flight earns on its own.
- Fare family: Eco Essential earns 50% of the distance; Eco Classic and Family Classic 100%; Eco Flex 150%; Biz Classic 150%; Biz Flex 200%. Royal Air Maroc does not publish booking class letters for these families, so the calculator asks for the fare family. Miles follow the family you booked and paid for, not the cabin you fly after an upgrade.
- Award, Cash and Miles or E class tickets: Royal Air Maroc says award tickets, Cash and Miles tickets and E class bookings without luggage do not earn Miles. Choose Yes if your ticket is one of them.
- Your Safar Flyer status: Silver, Gold and Platinum members earn 50%, 75% and 100% extra Award Miles on flights marketed and operated by Royal Air Maroc. The bonus is Award Miles only and does not count toward status. Blue members have no bonus.
- Credit this flight to: you can credit the flight to American AAdvantage, Atmos Rewards or British Airways Club instead of Safar Flyer. Choose one to see what the flight earns there, by route and booking class, with your status in that program. The full tables: American AAdvantage on Royal Air Maroc, Atmos Rewards on Royal Air Maroc, British Airways Club on Royal Air Maroc.
Short flights and rounding
Royal Air Maroc says a minimum number of Miles is awarded for flights under 500 miles, but it does not publish that number, so this calculator applies no minimum and a very short flight may earn more at Royal Air Maroc. Royal Air Maroc bases distance on the airports on the ticket and IATA standards and does not say how it rounds; this calculator uses great-circle distance and drops fractions of a mile on each flight, bonus included. Royal Air Maroc does not say how a Status Flight is counted for each fare family, so each flight flown counts as one.
Status Miles, Status Flights and status
A Safar Flyer status is earned with either Status Miles or Status Flights between 1 January and 31 December: Silver 20,000 Status Miles or 15 Status Flights, Gold 35,000 or 30, Platinum 75,000 or 75. Part of them must come from flights marketed and operated by Royal Air Maroc (at least 10,000 Status Miles and/or 2 Status Flights for Silver, 17,500 and/or 10 for Gold, 37,500 and/or 20 for Platinum). To keep a status the next year you need 18,000 Status Miles or 13 Status Flights for Silver, 32,000 or 28 for Gold and 70,000 or 70 for Platinum. Royal Air Maroc does not publish any fare-family weighting for Status Flights, so this calculator counts each flight flown as one Status Flight. Status Miles also come from oneworld partner flights, which this calculator does not count. Royal Air Maroc can change these criteria at any time.
Example
An Eco Classic ticket for a 1,000-mile flight earns 1,000 Award Miles, 1,000 Status Miles and 1 Status Flight. A Gold member on the same ticket also earns a 75% bonus of 750 Award Miles, for 1,750 Award Miles and still 1,000 Status Miles. In Eco Essential the same flight earns 500 Award Miles and 500 Status Miles; in Biz Flex it earns 2,000.
