Aegean Airlines Miles+Bonus Calculator
Unofficial. See the award miles and tier miles an Aegean flight earns. Rates as published by Aegean Airlines.
Miles+Bonus pays a fixed number of miles per flight operated by Aegean or Olympic Air, set by the route, the fare family and the booking class. Choose your airports, connections included, and the calculator finds each route in Aegean's own mile accrual chart.
How this calculator works
Choose your airports, your fare family and your booking class. The calculator looks up each flight's airports with the same airport data as our Great Circle Distance Calculator, finds the route in Aegean's own mile accrual chart (the table behind its Miles+Bonus miles calculator) and reads the miles for your fare family and class. Each flight earns on its own. Choose Round trip to price the same flights back the other way, and add the tier miles you already have to see how far you are from Silver or Gold.
What the inputs mean
- Airports: where you fly from, where you fly to, and any connections (add a connection for each extra flight). A route Aegean's chart does not list is shown as not counted. Aegean lists a few London routes as London (all airports); a Gatwick or Stansted flight on such a route uses that row. Aegean does not say which airports that row covers, so this matching is our reading.
- Fare family: Economy Light, Flex, Family or ComfortFlex, Business Basic or Business, as on your booking. On international routes Economy Saver, Comfort and Comfort Plus are listed only on a few routes from Athens (Kuwait, Dammam, Delhi and Mumbai); within Greece Aegean's chart lists Saver at the Flex numbers.
- Booking class: the letter on your ticket. Each family splits its letters into a low, middle and high group: low U, T, P (and E on international routes), high Y, B, M, W (and H on international routes), the rest middle. C, D, Z and A are Business. I, N, R and X are in none of Aegean's charts, so they earn nothing.
- Your Miles+Bonus tier: tier miles are the same for everyone; award miles are 10% more for Silver and 20% more for Gold, rounded, as in Aegean's calculator. Gold members also get 200 extra award miles on flights from Athens within Greece and 500 on flights from Athens to an international Intra-Schengen destination. Aegean does not list the Intra-Schengen countries, so the calculator uses our own list of the Schengen area countries (Cyprus is not one).
- Credit this flight to: you can credit the flight to United MileagePlus or Aeroplan instead of Miles+Bonus. Choose one to see what the flight earns there, by route and booking class, with your status in that program. The full tables: United MileagePlus on Aegean Airlines, Aeroplan on Aegean Airlines.
The chart
- Within Greece: a flat number per group, whatever the distance: Light 100, 250 or 500; Flex and Family 300, 600 or 800; ComfortFlex 500, 900 or 1,000; Business Basic 1,100; Business 1,200.
- International: a share of the distance flown, with a minimum: Light 30%, 50% or 75% (at least 200, 400 or 600); Flex and Family 75%, 100% or 150% (at least 600, 1,000 or 1,200); ComfortFlex 100%, 130% or 200% (at least 1,000, 1,400 or 1,800); Business Basic 220% (2,200); Business 250% (2,500). The calculator reads each route's own number from Aegean's chart.
- Which chart: Aegean's data holds two charts valid today, one from 30 December 2020 and one from 31 January 2023. Aegean's calculator reads the first, valid to 31 December 2030, and so does this one. Both give the same miles on every route they share; the newer chart also lists booking class G in every Economy family and D in Business Basic.
Silver and Gold
Until 4 November 2026, Silver needs 12,000 tier miles including 2 flights on Aegean or Olympic Air, or 35,000 tier miles in total, in 12 months (8,000 including 2 flights, or 35,000, to keep it). Gold needs, from Silver, 24,000 tier miles including 4 Aegean or Olympic flights, or 70,000 in total (12,000 including 4 flights, or 70,000, to keep it). From 5 November 2026 Aegean adds flight-count options (Silver 16 flights, Gold 32), new tier mile thresholds (Silver 12,000 including 4 flights or 36,000; Gold 24,000 including 12 flights or 72,000) and a Platinum tier (72,000 tier miles including at least 32 Aegean or Olympic flights, with 30% extra award miles); each member moves to the new rules at their next renewal. The calculator shows the rules in force today and does not calculate the new ones.
Not included
Star Alliance partner flights (Aegean credits them by per-airline charts that it does not publish as text), tier miles bought in sets of 500, and miles from the Aegean credit cards. Award, free or discounted, special offer, barter and charter tickets earn no miles, and tickets on a fare not in Aegean's charts earn nothing. Miles on an upgraded ticket follow the fare bought.
Examples
Athens to Thessaloniki in W on Economy Light earns 500 tier miles and 500 award miles (the example in Aegean's terms). Athens to London Heathrow in M on Economy Flex earns 2,243 tier miles: 2,243 award miles for Blue, 2,467 for Silver and 2,692 for Gold. Athens to Paris in L on Economy Light earns 653 tier miles, and a Gold member 784 award miles plus the 500 Intra-Schengen extra. Thessaloniki to Athens to London Heathrow in W on Economy Light earns 500 plus 1,121, that is 1,621 miles.
